Is it completely spring yet here?
Is it completely spring yet here? I’m tired of winter squashes and root veg (never thought I’d say that). Lunch was salad. Baby escarole, sweet onion & sliced fennel for more crunch (was gonna save that bulb for some soup, but DAMN, I’m all souped out–never thought I’d say that, either), Roma tomato, shredded Parmesan. Oh, and yeah, I did add the fronds of the fennel, frandz. All good salads have fronds, frandz.

I still have a pound of frozen cubed butternut in the freezer and one of these winter squashes on da counter!
The seasons running about a month early (from talking to everyone). Possibly there also?
Spring is here (a’choo) and I just came in after some weeding. I should have put them in a bowl and call it salad.
There’s nothing growing here, Terry McNeil – the ground is still frozen. I’m talking LOCAL food.
