Vanilla Spice Protein Latte

keto vanilla spice latte

I made a creamy keto vanilla spice latte today, that’s sugar-free and has a boost of protein. Who needs a coffee house? Not me. You can do this with tea or coffee. I’ve had it both ways. Enjoy!

Ingredients

Chai spiced tea or coffee

3 tablespoons heavy cream + 1 tablespoon water

1 scoop zero-carb whey protein isolate

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

A few drops of liquid stevia extract, to taste

dash of salt (optional, I like it)

Directions

Brew your tea or coffee, about 10-12 ounces and set aside for a moment.

In a frothing pitcher or tall and narrow blending cup, add the cream, water, vanilla, and whey protein isolate, and start to blend with a mixer or stick blender. Pour in the hot brewed tea or coffee while blending, and add the salt and stevia to taste. Blend a moment more and taste before adjusting sweetness.

Pour into a large mug or tumbler (there may be overflow, hence the pic below!). Top with a dash of ground cinnamon or nutmeg (or both!) and serve hot.

Notes:

Any flavor of herbal or black tea coffee works for this. I had some local cinnamon flavor coffee in mine.

The whey protein isolate matters if you want this to be zero carb. Either Isopure or Jay Robb brands are fine, and you can use either unflavored or vanilla work fine (pictured below, gotten from Amazon).
