Was craving a white folks restaurant taco salad, so I took a low carb tortilla (www.tumaros.com) and did this: http://goo.gl/pCUNZj, then filled it w/lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, olives, salsa, sour cream, scallions, and ground turkey (w/cumin, oregano, chili powder). HOT DAMN. IDK if frying the shell changed the carb count. Reading more up on it – found the idea through /r/keto.
I’m not in ketosis yet, I’ve been still consuming some complex carbs, trying to clean house. High cost of my Rx is fucking up my monthly budget. Can’t afford to waste much right now. I’m blessed that I earned a lot this past winter so I could take advantage of high quality foods on sale, having stocked my freezer with meals I prepared in batches.

It tasted really good, Daniella Arianne – I kinda keep thinking I can fool myself w/the low carb wraps, but depending on what’s in ’em, the texture just isn’t the same as real flour ones – however, I can say the frying job really did make this taste ALMOST exactly like a fried flour shell. I think it’s good for occasionally, but I don’t mind the salad without the shell, either.

Mmmmmm crunchy, I miss crunchy. Gonna have to locate these and maybe try and fry some of these low carb tortias to see if that makes them more edible.
