Yesterday, I made a giant pot of soup with celery, carrot, onion, peas, beef broth, Marsala wine, mushroom slices, and barley. It was great, then I threw on some croutons I made from leftover garlic toast.
Yeah, all those carbs were unnecessary…I’m trying to get rid of all that stuff from my kitchen right now. Can’t afford to throw it out. I still have a pound of barley, some soup pasta, vermicelli, tons of dried beans, and frozen fruit. Will probably give it away.

No, I’m trying to empty my kitchen of carbohydrates that aren’t non-starchy vegetables – I am much healthier eliminating pretty much all of them from my diet. I can’t afford to risk my health any longer 😉 Low carb isn’t probably for everyone, but it works for me.
